JD Edwards CNC – Tier 1 Support

Location:

Oak Brook, IL (hybrid/remote)

Description:

Responsible for maintenance, implementation, and support of client systems and manage multiple clients at one time on a variety of system platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Package Management, builds and deployments (update and full)
  • Change Management project promotions, troubleshooting
  • User Defined Objects (promotions, security)
  • Security maintenance (User, application, system)
  • Job Scheduling 
  • Report maintenance (printer configuration)
  • System Checks and Monitoring (hardware, system health, web instances, kernels, logs)
  • Maintenance activities (system restarts, log/temp file clean up, purges)
  • Incident and Problem Management (gather information and initial troubleshooting)
  • Follow Documentation (Client documentation, Operating Procedures, Technical Documentation)
  • Support the technical infrastructure and systems as neede

Required skills (desired):

  • Server experience with knowledge of operating systems
  • Ability to run queries and knowledge of ERP data applications
  • EnterpriseOne (B73x, XE, 8.10, 8.12, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2 (x86 and x64))
  • Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, AS400, Unix)
  • Databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2)
  • Web Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere) 
  • Security Third Party (AllOut, QSoftware)
  • Scheduler Third Party Software (JAMS, ControlM, Smart Scheduler, Robot, CRON)
  • Scanner Technologies (DSI, RFSmart, RFGen)
  • Additional Third-Party Software (Vertex, Packman, PurgIT, CreateForm)
  • Reporting Third-Party Software (Reports Now DAS) 
  • Load Balancer Technologies (f5, Barracuda, CentOS, Cisco)

Experience/Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in an IT or business-related field and at least 1-3 years of experience in a related area. 
  • Major ERP system knowledge is preferred, either on premise or cloud applications 
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to learn quickly and assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Experience of working independently and with hybrid or remote teams and flexibility with working hours for client support windows.
  • Strong desire to learn the latest cutting-edge technologies
  • Work with database applications, with knowledge in querying tools on the database, extract data for analysis, and summarize findings
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to learn quickly and assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the USA without any form of sponsorship
