QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manually test the application and various parts of it using methods such as negative testing, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with quality and software engineers through analysis and test case reviews.
• Add test cases to the automation suite.
• Be familiar with defect-backlog and communicate regularly with stakeholders to determine priorities.
• Strong independent contributor capable of leading the QA team and driving QA function end to end.
• Network domain experience is a must.
• Good understanding of OWSAP top 10 vulnerabilities
• Testing the UI & APIs that are securely written.
• Understanding AWS services (EC2, creating and analyzing performance metric dashboards, Cloud watch logs etc. …)
• Work closely with the customer to “understand” the deliverables’ scope and offer alternative approaches to testing the stories and providing reasonable estimates.
• Knowledge of TestRail and X-Ray Jira Plug-in Tools.
• Create performance, load, and stress test plans (as needed).

Required Skills:

Good understanding of Networking

• OSI model 7 layers
• ARP and Layer2 such as MAC address, ARP Table, Switching Table
• Difference between Hub, Switch, Router & Firewall
• HTTP vs HTTPS ports
• DNS, SNMP, NTP protocols & ports
• TCP state machine at least TCP handshake and various TCP control packets (Very Important)
• IP Address classes A, B, c & D, CIDR, Multicast, Unicast, Anycast, etc. private address space and public address space, 127.0.0.1 and link-local
• VPN types IPSec Tunnels
• Used Tcp dump and Wireshark.
• Performed Network related performance and scalability tests in the past.
• Leadership and Management Skills (Handling QA/Scrum Teams)
• Basic SQL Or No SQL (Ex: Elastic Search etc..)
• JavaScript
• Understanding of OWSAP top 10 vulnerabilities
• Python Programming Language
• Automation experience in any framework(Python Framework/UI (Selenium, Cypress, TestCafe )/ API(REST))

Experience & Qualifications

• 4-7 Years of experience        
• BE/B. Tech/M. Tech/MCA
